I do have some anti-fog stuff for the inside of the windows so I will give that a go first.

The break in for the LSD? Yeah we did it last night. I drove it for half an hour in a figure of 8. It was strange driving the car as you could feel the LSD grabbing away at the wheel with the least amount of grip.Dino wrote:Completed the bedding in procedure then Al?
When draining the gearbox fluid you could see loads of little bits of material off the LSD clutch plates, probably a bit from the new final drive as well.
It ran good and it isnt that hard to drive with the stage 5 clutch. It has a small oil leak from the back of the block that needs sorted before it gets an MOT.
The new fluid I put in the gearbox was a bottle of Amsoil MTF, 2 fluid oz of Redline friction modifier, and a bottle of Silkolene BOA 80w-90 gearbox / LSD fluid.

Re: Merlin's 4G Track Lude - Engine Runs
Material, I wasnt quite sure if it was actual metal but it was metallic. I assume the LSD clutch plates are some ferro metallic compound like brake pads or a transmission clutch plate. The Kaaz manual says that the surface material of the LSD clutch plates needs to be removed (via the break in procedure) so that they grip properly during extreme use. Also since the final drive was brand new I suspected there would be some metal off that. The magnetic drain bolt caught a fair bit but there was lots in the drain pan.NafemanNathan wrote:Bits?Merlin wrote:loads of little bits of material off the LSD clutch plates, probably a bit fro, the new final drive as well.... Of metal?... I'm assuming that's to be expected?...
