Dakota Raceway Drag Racing

Post by Mudgey » Sun Nov 17, 2013 2:55 pm

Hey guys,

Did my first 'run what you brung' drag event this weekend with some friends, damn it was awesome. Never tried it before and was a little nervous at first with how the car would run but it worked flawlessly! Only got 3 dry runs in out of the 12 we did. My best run was the 3rd attempt with the following results:

13.96
100mph
2.4 60ft

Next mod is definitely an LSD and drop the pressures in the front tyres. 1st gear was useless and it was struggling to grip in 2nd. I posted the 3rd fastest FWD of the day and ended up 21st overall. I was placed 50 or so on the 60ft times so I think there is some room for improvement! I think this is going to become an expensive addiction!

Not bad :)

I like how you class lowering tyre pressure as a "Mod"

Did you get any footage?

Its proper addictive! The cars were pretty close tbh with the VXR getting a best of 14.9.

The plan now is to get the car into the 12's with an LSD, more power & some practice!

You know, better tyres, dry runs, & confidence will get you into the 12's immediately.. ;)
