New Wheels?
I am posting this up to see if anyone can think of any other wheels that fulfil my needs. I need a set of brand new wheels costing less than £550, 4x114.3 and in a friendly offset, ie ET45. Any ideas?
So far Rota Slipstreams lead the way.

Et45, but what width and diameter? I assume you want lightweight then as well if you're considering SlipStreams?
And now I'm really not wanting to dis Rota, and I'm not following any hearsay, but I'm constantly looking at wheels on ebay, and the majority of the ones that come up under my criteria for the 3rd gen are Rota. I don't look at all of them, but quite literally 50% of the ones I have looked at say they have hairline cracks or have had welding done, or something to that extent. These are generally Grids, but if you're wanting to drive these wheels hard I seriously would consider staying away from Rota

Sorry I am looking at 7.5 wide in 17".
I have used my Rota's on track many, many times without issue. All the negative crap out them is itself crap IMO. There are loads of competion cars that use Rota wheels. Rota have there own R&D department. A nice discussion on Rota for the track http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43262
I used cheepo Dj wheels at the weekend there and they survived
I have had enough of 2nd hand wheels. I want brand new, 100% straight and balanced wheels.Donald wrote:Any reason why they have to be brand new?
