Quite a few 3rd gens coming out of the woodwork of recent. Glad to have you aboard :)

Are you planning to fit a front lip as well? Not sure whether Xenon skirts will be too deep without a front lip to match. Just a thought ;-)

I've got a 1990/H 3G, and was unsure about which tyre size to go for when I get some alloys mid next year. But now, having seen what you've experimented with, I am certain it will be 7.5J's with 215/45 R17 tyres all round. So cheers for that. ;)

Those 50 profile tyres are chunky as hell!

Still not sure about which 'ET' to go for though..probably ET38, but I want the wheels to stick out flush with the body, so maybe ET25 or something. What are yours? Cos they sit quite flush. 8-)

Oh yeah, and welcome to LG! Look forward to seeing the progress - and where you get your sideskirts from too.

Where have you been looking so far?

And where are you based?
Both sets I've put on this so far have been et38 so you can get some idea from my pictures about fitment. I'll probably add 10mm spacers all round eventually, in my opinion wheels of the same width look a bit lost at the rear on these, the extra inch out back fills the arch much better but it's getting the balance of form and function right isn't it :D

Yeah I hear what you're saying but I don't think it'll look too out of place especially because the slight poke of the wheels should make it look less obvious. Especially as the bottom half will be black. We'll see I guess but I can picture it in my head! It looks as though the Xenon skirts stop at a similar level to the oem mud flaps, which is actually about the same as the front lip now so it could work. I want to keep as oe as possible with bodywork but these skirts should allow me to solve the rust issues with less drama! I've not considered a body kit in years but they definitely work on 3g's!

Yeah, I know what you're saying about the rear wheels looking lost, so hoping 215's rather than 205's will help with that. ;) Wanted to go 225, but a bit concerned they'll rub with 17's. And not prepared to go down to 16's.

Might go down a little bit from ET38 then if I can find the right thing, cos I don't really want to be using spacers.
