Hello :) West Mids member with 3G accord

Post by duckdown_hoodrat » Fri Dec 27, 2013 9:16 pm

Hey all,

Been told this is a good forum to join as 3Geez is mainly US.

Anyway I'm dan from the West Midlands. I have an 1987 Honda Accord 3G CA5. She is a 2ltr auto (boo) tastefully lowered on Advan RG2s and some unknown SSPs which are wider on the rear.

Here's a quick pick but il put a complete thread up in the right section.

Cheers and happy new year!

Welcome to the club Dan. Nice looking motor. 8-)

What size are your wheels & tyres then?

I will try to guess;

Front - 7.5J 205/40 R17
Rear - 8.5J 215/40 R17

Am I close? :P

And I don't know if you've noticed, but your front wheels have 6 spokes, whereas your rears only have 5? :o

Happy new year to you too. ;)

Hahaha close!! And yes I have noticed this issue, I have the matching rears in the shed which will be going on in the new year.

Fronts are 17" 7J ET42 205/40
Rears are 17" 7.5J ET38 215/45

Thanks for the warm welcome guys

Dammit, meant to guess the ET's too..even though I would have got it wrong.

I'd have said ET38 for both. :)

And that will be perfect once you get the matching rears fitted to the front.

7.5J - 215/45 R17 - ET38 is the way I will be going on my 3G Lude once I'm ready for new alloys mid next year. ;)

Although I am contemplating ET25 or something, to bring the wheels out a bit further. But we will see..

Anyway, get a profile started so you can get some more photos up, and tell us about future plans. ;)
