Why not just leave the drive shafts in the hubs and disconnect them from the gear box end :?:

That's what I did as I couldn't get the nuts off. Just be careful not to split the CV joints else your in for a hell of a messy job to put them back together. So be really careful

I need to get the drive shaft out as the gaters need replacing, if I cant undo them by 6 tonight ill cut them off

Pretty sure it's standard lefty-loosey. Hence why they all have the locking tab/dimple in case of rotating on it's own (Not that that could happen because of the spline anyway).

In my experience the hub nut metal is always quite soft. So if you have no success with an inpact gun, I'd just go at it with a Dremel or the like. I've even just hammered through one using my trusty old screw-driver before on my donor Aerodeck, as I had nothing on there to prevent the driveshaft rotating.

Ive had no movment at all, I have a lorry breaker plus 4 foot of pole and even with me and dbo it didnt move, I have got to get the gear box done by the 31st as need the car for work :roll:
