Welcome along to the club. I'm based in Bexleyheath, same as Taz, so there's a few of us around the area.

I would say 99% probability that yours is an import as the 4th gen wasn't released in the UK until '92 (K plate), but was launched in Japan in '91 (J plate).

Advantages of an import / J plate car - you don't need the cat in the exhaust so get a decat on there!!

Long rectangular rear plate recess, fog light in the rear right of the bumper and mph speedo, I thought it was a uk car but I guess I wont know for sure untill I check that plate

Quite often dealers would replace those items of an import with UK versions, but then an enthusiast would swap them back, so still no definite way of telling

Can never have too many vehicles

I can't say I've ever experienced 4WS, but it will definitely make parking a lot easier! I remember them not being particularly brilliant on turning circle

The 4ws certainly helps with the turning circle. At speed the steering goes the same way on all four wheels, but at low speeds the rears go the opposite way to help exaggerate the lock.
Having had three 5th gens with 4ws, it felt wrong when I had to drive for a few days without rear steering (whilst getting a warning light) before managing a reset to get it working again.

Ill get used to it first but i have found i seem to end up further away from the kerb when i park!
And when i pull away from a t junction it definately feels like its a rear wheel drive car thats just about to break away,
Might pull the 4ws fuse in a few weeks and see how it feels!

Don't do that

it doesn't 'lock in 2WS position', which seems to be a common misconception
