I have just taken the main relay out and visually is looks fine.
I dont have a new one to try.

I can some times hear the main relay struggling and clicking like mad. Also sometimes when i press my alarm button to turn the immobiliser off to start the car and turn the keys the pump didnt prime on a few occasions. I had to pull keys out a few times and retry, but that was a while ago.

Main Relay usally making problems when it is worm - when it is cold is ok, but when car is unning for a time and will be turned of it will not start again until relay cool down.
I'm still thinking, that will be the problem.
It would be idel to swap it and see how it's gos.
ludes are ment to be driven, not wanking around on a stand like a Civic.

Dodgy map sensor? Sounds like the A/F is a little excitable to start with and then there's complete starvation.

Forgot about the map sensor. I'll investigate.

MY money is on the relay as well. Get a magnifying glass and look carefully for dry joints.
I have kleptomania,
But when it gets bad,
I take something for it.

TBH mate, the main relay is such an easy fix, why not just do it to eliminate it for now/the future anyway?
Reheat all the joints (theres not many), job done 8-)

Borrowed a new relay from Andy Pont.
Popped it in and fired her up.
Didnt start propperly. All the electrics flashed.
Tried again and it died as it started. I suspect alot of fuel in the cylinders.
Tried again and she fired up nicely.

Its idle nicely. Less smoke but still a bit.

And it wont die. :D

So we will see how it goes from here. Now onto my battery charging thread please.
