Full colour change or swap engine and gear box

Post by c_doughty1 » Wed Apr 02, 2014 2:00 pm

Torn between what to do, should I keep the new green prelude gen 4 I've bought and respray black including engine bay etc.

Or just take the engine and gearbox out the green one and drop it in my current lude which is already black.

This is the new one

And this is my current lude

Current black one done 115000 but gears are a bit clunky

New green one 63500 and gears are sweet.

So spray or swap engines.

Unless your black one requires a respray/rust repair as well, swapping the engine into it will definitely be the cheaper option.

Change the gearbox fluid first to see if that solves the problem. It is cheap an easy.

I've already changed the gearbox fluid, it made little to no difference.

agreed, which is less rustiest one? then a plan can be formed

you could always get it wrapped instead of a spray
