Nice one man! My front droplinks are about done - that's a cracking price for replacements!

Good haul

That was about 12 months ago

I've just this week had a SORN reminder come through. ... This'll be the second one!

I have acquired the majority of that spec list over the past 3 years or so mind ;-)

Custom Headlight Cold Air Feed (Part I)

Post by NafemanNathan » Tue Mar 27, 2012 9:49 pm

I actually did something on the track lude this evening! :D

Being I wasn't happy with where the new harness comes through the bulkhead (as it'll be on display)...

Image

I bought one of these ages ago...

Image

And finally got around to doing something about it. So I started boring a hole more central and lower down through the bulkhead, and that's as far as I got... Literally!...

Image

Image

My hole cutter is blunt as you like, so I don't think it's even 1mm deep after 10 minutes of boring

Then it got dark

So I came inside and started to modify the driver's side headlight I was kindly given by Dan (Razor) on the weekend. I'm modifying it to become a cold air feed 8-) ...

Image

The back lends itself perfectly to attach a 3" (76mm) duct...

Image

This will pretty much be the shape of the hole, which is a larger area than a 3" diameter (and obviously a different shape), but this will enable me to funnel a larger catchment of air into the connection...

Image

I started to cut the hole in the lense, but it was a little bit too loud to be cutting in the house with a sleeping baby upstairs and a girlfriend trying to do here homework in the next room (Evening course by the way. I'm not a pedo... Ste). So this is as far as I got with that too...

Image

So not all that successful, but at least it's moving forward again lol. With the lighter evenings coming in I should actually be able to make a bit of a dent in everything I have planned :D

Yeah as I usually end up doing so with a decat, I don't mind doing a swap once a year ;-)
