I had one its a lot of hassle would make the rust worse rub it down treat it prime it then wrap it

Rub it down treat it and EPOXY PRIME it. Normal primer is pourous and water will cause rust.
Get a can of your colour and just try and blend it in and relacquer the area..

It wont be perfect but it will be a ghetto fix.

Then wait 3 days for rust to return.

Yeah I imagined a matt black. Think it would look quite good either way. I plan on doing something with mine along the same lines as my bonnet is stone chipped to buggery.

I have some epoxy primer so will try rub it down a bit, paint it then hide it with a badge again.

Just wanted a cheap temporary fix!

Just leave it to get worse. That's what I'm trying, I have a theory that given enough time the process will reverse. Fingers crossed!

It's going to be like Night of the living dead eventually then, when all the 4th gen rust starts crawling out of the ground

Looking at me ripping it into the 4th gens!

^^ that looks good, if you're photoshopping, could you do the same thing but extend the side pieces right up the edges of the bonnet to the windscreen? Just to see what it looks like, and also maybe black out the two little silver bits either side of the grill?

I had done the bits either side of the grill as well, but it looked too much. I only saved the jpg, but I might do it again later
