DEXTER: 1989 Aerodeck EXi
Re: DEXTER: 1989 Aerodeck EXi
Thanks Farlow. I always wanted white because the first Deck I ever saw back in 1986 was white, plus it's a classic eighties colour. But now I've got this one I'm really pleased, it's such a great shade of green.farlow wrote:Nice car mate, I much prefer this colour to a white one. You're lucky I never came across it whilst it was in the Durham area, it may not have made it back to Dorset.
I was lucky to get it. The previous owner offered it to me first through my Facebook page. If he'd put it on ebay, RR or Pistonheads I'd probably have missed out on buying it. It's nice that it's back in the county it's spent 23 of it's 25 years.

I've got to thank the previous owners for being such good custodians of the old boy. It's my job now to keep the good work going.Drax wrote:fair play that is a great lookin classicand in wonderful condition too!

No way! The one from Glenthorne Avenue?!Monzta wrote:Thanks Nathan, I was really lucky to get this car and I absolutely love it.NafemanNathan wrote:She looks great Glenn
And that's amazing mileage! The waiting paid off
You may remember this particular Deck, it was for sale on ebay in Yeovil two years ago with about 25k on the clock. As you already had two Decks on your hands at the time you declined to buy it. it ended up going up to Durham, had two owners up there and is now back in Dorset where it began it's life in 1989 (down in Wareham).
In many respects it's like a new car. The interior is pristine, I don't think the rear seats have ever been sat in. As hard as I try I still haven't found a spot of rust, the underside is nothing like my scruffy silver one. Delighted isn't the word.

I can't believe just how good a condition it's in. It'd be good to see it in the flesh sometime

That's the one, Glenthorne Avenue. Small world eh? All the way up to Durham then all the way back to the town next door.
I'll pop down some time and you can take a gander ... maybe re-spark your Aerodeck habit.

Re: DEXTER: 1989 Aerodeck EXi
I'm pretty much where I want to be with the car now. No spoilers, no deep lips, no side skirts and no stickers. I'd like a set of period style front fogs and a stainless exhaust system but that's about it really. Gotta keep the character of the car intact.Rudelude wrote:Looks so good, love classic cars, and the pop-up are awesome.... Yeh, don't go MADD with body kits and bits, keep it original... Rims and drop set it off already
