Re: Farlow's 5th gen Motegi
Thanks for the positive comments guys.
I've had to relocate this now as I've installed an odyssey pc680 battery and relocated it. Still looking for somewhere to put the catch can.honda-hardy wrote:sweet. love the catch can mounted to the battery strap.
No sorry mate, my lude is currently off the road while I'm working on the next stage of the project (slowly). I'm just updating my build thread to show the lude up to its current state.SPYDOR wrote:Did you drive the Prelude to the national meet? Wish people left their engine bay's open when you've got some looking as tidy as this!

got red hoses just haven't fitted them yet. I really wanted white ones but couldn't find them for a 5th gen at the time.

I've got a catch can to fit in my 5th. There's not much room at the bulkhead, although I ws considering juggling a few things, but alternatively I was looking at mounting it by the battery as you have. I'd have to make a bracket up, but how did you do yours? Got any close up pics?

Erm.. Not at the minute, it's sat in the garage somewhere I think. If I can find it it's yours.

Thanks for that budfarlow wrote:Erm.. Not at the minute, it's sat in the garage somewhere I think. If I can find it it's yours.

That's just given me an idea as I'm asking that as it is!

Re: Farlow's 5th gen Motegi
IIRC it was just a flat strip of aluminium folded over the top of the battery like you said, then folded a couple more times to creat a vertical surface to mount to. I then drilled a hole in each of the horizontal faces for the tie down rod and this kept it located against the battery. The catch can was then mounted to the vertical face. Hope this makes sense.
