i like to run a mixture of brands and models on all 4 wheels, at least one should be suited to the conditions!

 @ Phil

I've run various tyres over the years and the top ones I've found, a few mentioned already:

- Eagle F1's
- Rainsports
- Bridgestone Potenza S-001's

And most recently as a little compromise, for my other cars (Mazda 6 and e46 320d) I have used these:

- Syron Race 1's - heres a link:

http://www.tyretraders.com/Syron.aspx

For the money they've outperformed a lot more expensive tyres I've tried.

My favourite one is on my other daily:

I'd tell you the brand but everytime I go to check he kicks me in the nuts!

Barum Bravuris 2 on mine. They just seemed to offer the best price:performance ratio when I was shopping for 17". Nothing bad to say about them really. I don't tend to do anything too silly but I've done a lot of drives in the highlands in all weathers and always felt confident with them.

Nankang ns2r 180 compound track day tyres at the moment but I'm on the lookout for another set of wheels to run the Rainsport 3 or vredestein sessantas
