I assume you guys are talking about this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMC-CDA-Induc ... 41686f7071

Are you laughing because it is crap or because it is good?
I have aftermarket mani, downpipe and cat back exhaust but still a stock intake and was thinking of upgrading........
Yes that's it. I have that fitted on mine with a cold air feed down into the bumper, soon to be on a scoop. Also silicon piped onto the TB. Carbon and its enclosed so heat soak is kept to a bare minimum. Filter is removable for cleaning ect. I wouldn't use anything else tbh. But that's my opinion :D

Closest thing I could find to a Macca facepalm.

Yes @ATR84, BMC CDAs are very good. They are up there with the Type-S/K&N filter combo and the AEM V2. I run/ran one on my 4th gens and will be sticking with it for my 270-300bhp build.

The only thing is it's universal and the flexi duct that's included is a bit papp...

So you're best off customising something up.

For example...

Or, as my new setup looks...

Why a facepalm lol

I had a cda on my astra before and it felt no different and sounded no different to stock

Obviously the closed whatever design takes away any heat youd suck in from the engine bay but i still stand by what i said

Pipe is pipe and a filter sponge doesnt really change much in my experience from brands.

I use my short ram with pipercross filter mainly for noise when the tec kicks in and im happy with my setup for under 50 quid, personally i wouldnt spend the 130 on an aemv2 or the 180 on another cda for maybe 2 brake more

Thoughts?
