Decisions decisions.

Post by EG_H22 » Sun May 31, 2015 9:21 am

Hi guys,
Right ill get straight to it, as of tomorrow i am starting to build my a7. Im debating whether to go turbo or n/a with a nitrous setup.
Im not looking for big numbers just a nice 420-450bhp im happy enough, money isnt a concern really as im planning on building it within a year.
What im struggling on is how reliable is a 300whp na setup be, as im two minds on what to do as id love to have a turbo setup as for the money you produce good power.
But at the same time id like the n/a setup as you wont have turbo lag or what not and could give other cars a run for their money if that makes sence but its a fair amount to achieve this goal.
This wont be my daily just a pure beast for the strip,
Just want to know what you guys think.

Thanks
Ash

Yea, my mates got a 700bhp accord and has put £10k into it, think im looking at that too achieve 300whp.
Ive got two blocks ones s closed deck that im going to boost on stock liners, engines in good nick no scores on the block and that.
Whilst the a7 is going to have mids fitted too handle more boost if i get the bug for more power

Has anyone on here made big power as n/a.
I was thinking of using roskos k series crank setup making it a 99mm crank over the 95mm.
Was told if i was to go for a stroker kit 100mm setup with a crazy head setup, id have the quickest all motor in the UK.
But the work is going to cost a bomb lol.
Id like to do both haha.

If money isn't an issue and you'd be happy with 300bhp N/A knowing it's achievable, then why would you choose to go turbo? ;)

Im not too sure i have both build specs written done and decussed with daz and shawn from kaizenspeed on either n/a and turbo.
Saying that if i went n/a with ks tuned wiseco custom 14:1 compression wouldnt be good on the road as would be using racing fuel
