So I rolled the old black prelude, guys up at the place I get work done want the shell engine etc but it won't start
Car was upside down when I turned the ignition off and engine did start once more when upright but cut out seconds after
Now when you turn the key it just winds until the battery goes dead
Anyone an idea as to why?
Oil level is at bottom dot so it's not empty, coolant was refilled to halfway and spark plugs checked but apparently not getting a spark.
HT leads were swapped but still nothing, checked fuse and it's ok, all grounds are ok and tried using aftermarket alarm to lock and unlock incase it's something to do with that.
Both airbags did deploy but I don't know of there's a fuel cut off switch etc in these in the event of a crash.
P's half tank of BP ultimate in there as well
Cheers for any help
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

Started ok once it was upright but cut off a few secs laterNafemanNathan wrote:Prelude's don't have a fuel cut-off switch, unless one has been installed by someone else (Doubtful unless racecar).
It could be your dizzy if you're not getting a spark bud. Pretty fragile they are.
Now isn't sparking :/
Still think the dizzy?

Yeah ill try thatNafemanNathan wrote:For what it's worth, try wiggling/pushing down on the wires that enter the top of the dizzy whilst trying to start it.
And whilst you're there make sure it's still plugged in properly
Cheers bud

Spark plugs are pretty bad but always started for me before the crash
