Idle Problems...

Post by woOtSalami » Mon Sep 07, 2015 6:00 pm

Hey Guys,

Yesterday evening I wanted to boost for a ride. haha nevermind it was good but I have a problem since then.

I started the Motor and my Idle was not at 1500rpm as expected when it's cold. It was at insane steady 2500rpm. Once the motor was warmed up it was at steady 1500-1700rpm. My guess so far is that I drokked up my IACV but I am not sure because no one had that problem in the way I experiencing it.

Any ideas?

cheers :)

Have you followed the jrsc iacv wiring diagram? If so It's wrong. You must have the vacuum tubes put in incorrectly.

The Idle was okay for two weeks now. Out of nowhere the problem was there.

When I unplug the IACV it stutters but rpm still is around 1500. so I would say IACV is ok.
I suppose it coukd be the FITV. Today I will clean or block it off.

No the holes are not closed! It was the FITV. the valve was completely out. i will now make a block of plate and loop the coolant on the thermostat housing. Now it runs like a charm :) thanks
