There's a fuller version of this video somewhere but this is an interesting look at the technology of the 350z.

Sorry, I'll remove myself to the 350z forums now..

Thanks.

What we're trying to assess is what it's like in daily ownership.
Jan will need finance to buy a good one, and it would be a shame if he got bored with it before it's paid off!

Likewise. I was ever really all that sold on the 350. I always thought the interior was a bit cheap looking. The 370 is nicer looking in my opinion, and the interior is miles ahead. I'm not crazy about that gas gauge though.

I wouldn't trade my Z32 for either of the newer ones.

:) I'd love to find a nice 240Z to add to the collection.

the 370z gets my vote. Its the finished article...the 350 always reminded me of the nissan skyline they brought out before they punched us with the R35. Not really fully focused and for an older market.

Engine by renault........... the same lazy v6 they put in the 406 coupe. :? and it takes 7.2s 0-60... almost anything is faster off the mark for half the monies if you ask me.

If he wants to flex there are better cars. If he wants to mod there are better cars. If he wants to smooth about the place in some comfort then there are still better cars but this one would be in the running.

2p
6th gen Prelude please Mr Honda. RWD 2.4 turbo lude.

Mine was just over 300bhp the torque is great also you can over take things in 6th easily.
The ride is very good and comfortable. Mine was lowered 35mm on tein springs.
Due to the lsd and chassis they handle really well.
Yes it's a heavy car but it's still quick and stopping is fine with the brembos, I had ds2500 pads all round and groved and dimpled discs.

You can't beat the noise of them, they sound epic with a decent exhaust system.
Yet here you are in a lude ;)

Sorry, someone had to say it!

Hmm. I wouldn't say no to an R34.

Blame Clarkson for that misinformation. The 406 had a 3 litre Renault engine. The VQ35 was Nissan-designed and built. A version of the Vel Satis did use it in slightly lower tune, though.

I think it should be nearly a second quicker than that, surely?

That's how I've always thought of them.

Yer the Nissan is a 3.5 l8tr v6 hence 350z. The 406 coupe used a 3 ltr Renault v6
