Rear Engine mount recommendations (4th Gen Auto)

Post by simonc » Fri Dec 04, 2015 11:59 pm

Hi all,
It seems as though my rear engine mount has gone for a ball of chalk. Can you recommend what I should buy as a replacement please?
I'm not looking for anything rock-hard as I'm after comfort rather than performance and my car is an automatic.
Thanks folks, Si. ;)

Your options are New OEM if you can still get them, low mileage second hand OEM, second OEM with Energy Suspension inserts or Innovative or Explicit Speed Performance, but you'd have to buy a set including the sides of those.

Innovative do a 75a hardness which is their lowest (60a for 5th gens), which is harder than OEM (60a is supposedly near to OEM, but I have them around in my 5th gen and I still get vibrations).

Cheers Nathan. Edit, Okay, so OEM it is then. I've looked on the Lings website and seems as though they have them at 130 quid a pop.. I've dropped them a line to see if they will sell me one. I'll let you know. Thanks again.

Ordered it yesterday from Lings. Very helpful guy called, funnily enough, Nathan, who was extremely helpful. Was waiting for the huge postage charge but it was only six quid. Yet another part to bundle up and attempt to squeeze into my luggage.
