s2000 dials are better fit, but its quite involved to get them working

not simple plug and play

In answer to your question... Yes, a HUGE difference!

But have you worded your question correctly? I'm assuming you already have 5th gen dials in your 5th gen, so are you actually asking if it could be converted to 4th gen dials?

It could be done with a whole lot of fabrication work to your dash, but you'd never be able to copy the entire 4th gen dash with the fuel/temp gauges and warning lights in a 5th, so I'd say there'd be absolutely no point in doing it just for the speedo and rev counter (You'd also then loose the fuel and temp gauges too).

There is a guy on the civic forum who converts the clusters (just the dials bit not the whole thing). He has do e s2000 cluster on civics and it look really nice. I've also seen s2000 clusters being fit in to 5G.

4G cluster on a 5G would look gay.

At some point, when I'm rich and have a huge garage, I will find out if a 4G dash will fit in a 5G.

there would be no point putting a 4g dash in a 5g you sit too high in a 5g for it to feel right

I did used to love the S2K cluster mod, but I don't think it's dating well. It's just not cool enough anymore IMO.
