It even looks loud to me. Probably quite deep but would be a bit fart can when decelerating I'd imagine.

I think the de cat is an m2 one which h tune sell for £46.99 and the header is a different brand, srs which will probably offer no real gains just look shiny. Till it fails.

Not a lot of money for a full system though. What are you trying to achieve exhaust wise?

Replacement because yours is shot?

More power or torque?

Better sound? - Deep or raspy, loud or muted?

Yeah i can imagine it being quite loud!

To be fair i dont mind loud exhausts, i quite like them  it cant be anymore anti social than the one i had on my ATR. That used to leave trails of car alarms being set off when i came down my road

Just looking for an upgrade to be fair, more power and better sound! I know mine is a bit rusty, was looking at the skunk2 megapower but this would save me money to be fair which is always nice.

Megan..... she's loud, can get hot, gives a proper good engine blow. A bit generic and gets around.

Skunk2 mega power these videos made me laugh when I was researching exhausts!

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6dCHHoeltc

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TNKQ725NvvQ

I've just had a beautiful custom exhaust welded up with 2.5" piping reducing down to 2.25" near the rear of the system using a large central resonator and a fairly small back box, to give you an idea that was £400.

What I have learnt is that absorption resonators/silencers which are straight through perforated pipe with sound deadening give a deeper more bassy tone because they cut out the high frequencies.

Some previous exhausts I have had with chambered silencers and less of them are higher pitched because they cut out the low frequency.

This is worth thinking about if you like the raspy noise or if you prefer the deeper mugen sound...

I quite like the sound of the skunk2 but it is expensive.

Ive looked at custom exhausts and got quoted £550 by longlife on basingstoke - but he is busy until june and im very impatient! :)

Im not too fussy when it comes to sound in all honestly, i like the raspy and deep tones. Judging from this though my best option would be to get one custom made, i assume power gains would probably be better from a custom made one too?

Or am i wrong?

Not a great deal better than an eBay special to be fair. You'd be better off spending the money on the Fujitsubo header Dino is selling and the Fujitsubo catback si import is selling and getting them subtley modded to fit your 5th gen.
