Thinking of a more aggressive build for the H22.
Thinking Skunk 2 Pro-series stage 3 cams.
Guessing that Mahles arent gonna cut the mustard.
What additional work/parts am i gonna need 'IF' I decide to go down this route?
Guessing balanced crank for higher RPM, sleaved block and flat face pistons?
Pro's/cons for this set-up?
Cheers all before-hand
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

Should be under the tuning section
Plus I'm hoping this thread will get lots of useful info for the wiki
Merlin and Nathman should be best for the questions at a guess as they (as far as I know) are going big compression builds

Skunk 2 Stage 3 cams
Well!... My plan is...
Skunk2 Pro 3 cams.
Custom Pistons. The only part I haven't got yet. (You'll need either custom or highly modified pistons. Personally I'd step away from FRM liners as it gives you options).
Darton MID Wet sleeves. (Don't need to be MIDs, but I got a bargain
).
BC 100mm stroke Crankshaft (This will take me anywhere from 2.4l (13.5:1 CR) to 2.6l (14.3:1cc) depending on what diameter pistons I go for. Bear in mind when you go over 13/14:1CR you need to start considering racing fuel).
Eagle rods (I'm sticking with OEM length, 143mm as I'll be going the custom piston route. There are pros and cons of having a higher or low rod/stroke ratio. This is a good read... https://www.enginebuildermag.com/2016/0 ... od-ratios/). Of course I'll need to get everything balanced.
BC flat faced valves and valve train to suit more aggressive cams.
Balance shafts deleted.
I'll be running TWM/Borla ITB's with RDX injectors, and my custom Explict Speed 4-1 ram horn exhaust manifold with a 2.75" collector. Need to get this ceramic coated. Keep the heat in to expell the gases quicker.
I have another a7 head to have more P&P done.
