Bonnet damper struts. Any UK retailers?

All I can find is this on ebay but shipped from.taiwan.

My bonnet catch holder thing has broke, it works but rattles around especially annoying with the engine trying to idle the skunk 2 cams and it rattles like mad. Plus it will tidy the bay a bit.


So any UK alternatives or some I can retrofit from another vehicle.

Not that I have found to date.

Saw an old Banzai mag. and Tein used to do them. Rang them but all stocks have gone. They seem to think they still have some MX5 ones in stock in Milton Keynes. Nice if they fitted!

Tein actually never made Prelude bonnet struts. People used modded dc2 struts. Quite heavily modded.

That catch that catches the bonnet and holds it up as gravity pulls it down. It's long and black....gigiddy. Don't mistake the catch and the latch. Get me blud! Unless they are the same fing innit.

I bought those Taiwanese struts by the way. We will see when they arrive.

Ahhh! You mean the prop! The long black slender thing that "props" the bonnet open!

A latch and a catch are essentially the same thing as a latch is nothing without catch to latch on! And these little blesseds together hold your bonnet down!
