May need to do some checking to see if this is a direct replacement for a JDM or not...

It probably won't give you any significant power gains on a stock engine, but should change your exhaust tone

I've probably opened a can of worms here, but I always thought the catback was the same length, and it was the downpipe + CAT that varied in length (ie. a JDM downpipe is longer, but has a short cat and a UKDM downpipe is shorter, but has a long cat). I've never had a UKDM Vtec, so have never been able to confirm it myself.
I've never seen or heard of a conclusive answer to this, as it's always just speculation, so it would be good to finally hear from someone who knows the answer, and then it can be Wiki'd

The downpipe/cat combo sets the length. JDM cats are longer and have the temp sensor built in. Quite a few exhaust systems come with an adjustable section to connect to the cat, allowing JDM or UKDM fitment.
The issue with the fanimold is a different one however, as apparently the stud pattern for connecting them to the block can be different between JDM and UKDM H22's. This one I have yet to personally see confirmed though.
