I had an EL engine, but that was way back in 1987 on my 1980 Accord :D

Honda wanted £350 to change a clutch back in 1988. I managed to buy one for just over £100 from a local factors and got a mate to fit it for beer. £10 for a clutch in 2012 is a fooking steal!

Ahh that's no problem, they aren't contact faces and I doubt the valve guides will have rust up inside them as there should be a bit of oil in there. Even if they are rusty, valve guides aren't too expensive and you might want to replace them anyway. Then again getting them out is one of the toughest jobs on an engine!

I never took an engine apart, still it's not the taking apart I'm most worried about, putting it back together again AND making it work will be interesting. I found the seals for the valve stems, but I'm not sure about the guides. What I know is that under the cover the valves and springs look nice and clean on the project car, while those on the other car look like crap, covered in soot. I haven't looked inside the engine of the donor car but I'd expect to ffind it in a similar condition...
