Not sure mate, they must be cos mine just got tested with them fitted. I think it comes down to how blue they are. Mine emit white light, just on the limit before blue.

im not sure but i read somewhere, it may have been on a kitcar site, but someone posted an mot update/change for sometime in 2012, in there there was a part about non std aftermarket hid kits - fail :o

I've got a spare set someone can have if they like. I think mine were silver backed though... I havnt seen them for a year or too since I packed them away.
I'll dig them out if someone's interested....

Anyone who puts HIDs in halogen reflectors should be banned from driving. So much glare. Even if it passes mots and you don't get flashed. Half the time I don't flash because I'm being blinded.
Do it properly and get propper projector retrofits made. Or clean your headlights and put decent bulbs in.

I bought it like that. To be fair they aren't that bad, I've stood in front of the car with the lights on and wasn't blinded or anything. I'm still looking for projectors & have been watching those eBay ones for a while but it appears I have some competition on here.
