Heatshield - Replace?

Post by Bio » Sat Jul 21, 2012 10:44 am

Well my heatsheild is a bit old and seriously tatty. The skins of the metal have worn through due to rust low down so I'm thinking, replace it, or cover the mani in wrap?
If I go for wrap, does the mani have to come off?

Maybe an excuse for an ebay cheapy stainless? :D

I doubt you could wrap it while it's still on. :?

I did a write-up that may help if you do decide to wrap. ;)

Yeah, you'll never wrap it well/properly if you don't remove it.

If looks is important to you, then an ebay s/s job could be the answer, but obviously there is a lot more money involved there. Although second hand ones come up cheap now and again.
