Timing belt change

Post by nitin_s1 » Sun Jul 29, 2012 7:27 pm

Hello guys,

I'm due a timing belt change and as I'm putting new aux belts on the car I may as get my timing belt changed as well.

I'm thinking of getting this H23 manual kit.

What about the timing belt parts? Where do you guys get yours from? What about water pumps etc.

Any advice and links of where you get your parts from would be great too.

Thanks

Xx

honda use gates belts so they are good enough for me 8-) and always use honda oem engine parts unless the quality is better than oem

Just need the belts. As Jozesfan said, Gates are ideal and not too too expensive.

I've had some crap blueprint parts but the timing belts have always been good. All the ones I've used have been branded SUN and have lasted well. Still gates are probably better.

Cheers lads,

Best price I've found is from SimAutos for a OEM water pump (£79.99) :? , I'll get the H23 manual tensioner kit from one of those sellers on eBay.
