Poor Eddie isn't impressed

Had another call from a bloke in Northern Ireland, asked where the nearest airport was, said he would check flights and phone back...over 2 hours ago

It's a cracking car, don't get me wrong. Loved going for a drive in it today, the low position makes it all corners fun, and the engine feels very eager right from the off.

But I love the comfortable Golf with it's modern toys and the acceleration is something else.

Ideally I'd keep 2 cars but that's just not financial sense.

You talk about the acceleration of the golf, I'm guessing it isn't standard? What's the spec?

Each to their own. I'm sure the Golf is a fine car to drive, though I like most people on here am incredibly biased towards 'ludes. Whilst I was late to driving, after having been a biker for 12-13 years without even considering a car, I have since driven quite a few between my own, those of friends and family and numerous company cars (including the likes of BMWs and Mercs). That said. I am yet to drive anything else that matches the fun and feel of a Prelude. Certainly not the fastest in performance alone but quick enough, especially when vtec kicks in. The handling and general feel certainly makes up for any shortcomings in power, at least in my mind.
