W1ggz's BB4 new parts pics

Post by W1ggz » Mon Sep 24, 2012 10:51 pm

Well thanks to the rain it was quite this afternoon at work so took a few pics of a few bits i have done and got ready for the car. a few weeks ago i decided to carbon wrap the roof and sunroof, the sunroof was badly rusted so i prepared that first filled and primedImage
i also decided to do the petrol cap as well Image. i really like the look of it but its making me want the real thing more so tho.
When i got the car it had a black electrical tape plaster on a area around the windscreen i pulled this off when wrapping the roof so i could pull the windscreen rubber out. under here was window putty hinding a small hole in the pillar not good, ive done a very tempory bodge of scrapping it out and fibre glass filling until its time for the proper respray in a few months time, it looks really nasty at the moment but im gonna try and tidy it up a bit more for the winterImage advice would be great.
I fitted my wind deflectors today that i got off ebay Image Image
and then set about bringing them up with autosol
Image Image
Image
that stuff is amazing so i then set to it on my Feels strut brace another ebay bargain and also my induction pipe

if the weather is crap again tomorrow ill get the engine bay clean and get the new rocker cover on :D
I also had my mate do a little bit of powder coating for me had the strut brace mounts done Image
and he also did my set of new nuts ready for when my wheels are back
Image.
thats it for today, the only problem with running a valeting company is the rain but it means i get to play on my car so maybe get the drop links and cv boots done and fit the suspension tommorow. swings and roundabouts

Cheers Pushki
Well the weather was nice today but business was still slow so i was able to crack on with some more work on the car. Thought i would get my oil change done so did that then started work in the engine bay
This is how it looked before i started.
Image
So i decided today would be the day to change the rocker cover and fit my new plugs, strut brace and carbon plate.

the mani cover is looking pretty minging so i took that off and began rubbing it back for a few layers of paint tommorrow

Quite a productive few hours today starting to turn her into my own car slowly, gonna chase the paint shop again tomorrow see where my wheels are as i really wanna get them n and get her lowered down.
My old rocker cover is up for sale if anyone is interested open to offers

Its been an odd week at work, probably the quitest we have ever had but on the upside more time to play on the car.
Sprayed up the mani cover wit what was supposed to be heat ressistant paint in silver whih has now turned a goldy colour. i also sprayed the radiator and aircon pipe locators and the alternator bracket, gave the rest of the engine bay a good clean

The bumpers that i bought off dino are going off this morning to be painted and will be back wednesday afternoon if all goes to plan. so n preperation i spent the day yesterday mopping the car up so the bumpers wouldnt stand out, I cut the car back with farecla G3 and finished with Autosmarts evo fine, i will be putting a layer of wax on today just to seal it all up as i an out of time today. So hears the pics
