Whilst I appreciate the technology and development that's gone into it, the application is wrong.

I'm sorry, but any of these products that "evade detection" are stupid, and people will only buy them for one reason.

I'm not into the whole "speed kills" message - it's possible to drive safely above the speed limit, and to drive dangerously below it.

Quite frankly, with all the warning you get that there are camera's in the area, and that they are painted bright yellow, the only person you have to blame is yourself if you get caught.

the speed limit on most roads are there for a reason i dont agree with speed cameras and i like to drive fast but there is a time and place there are enough idiots out there and you dont need to give them any excuse to blame you for there idiocy.

Yeah of course he's designed that for all the "right" reasons

Well at least it's easy to spot, so as soon as it's made illegal to use one, anyone running one will hopefully be fined.

I do believe the technology may have other uses as described further down the article, just don't agree with the main focus of the article.

Average speed cameras are the way to go. Went out to see Dobbs at the weekend, went through an area that was average speed camera thingied. Saved loads of fuel.

I remember Scary Steve Chalmers from Fast Car fame doing this with some photograpy equipment about 14 years ago on the back of his mk1 golf, it didn't work....
