Rust removal - Polycarbide

Ive been using one of these, with good success :

using this on my arcade machine project, which has some thin sheet metal but rusty, much like a 4th gen

I tried the angle grinder but moved onto the drill attachment to get into narrow bits

worked very well, down to bare metal within couple of minutes

just dont use the drill continuously for 45 mins, or your arm will start shaking after

How hard wearing would they be?
Do they leave think groves at all like a wire brush drill head would?

Might get a couple.

yeah groovy ish, depends how you attack it, with just half the time

you would probably have to do a final sand with paper

it does wear down, but not very quickly its quite hard stuff

does strip everything, paint etc.. back to bare metal

Looks like the same thing I use with my dremel, only they're about an inch diameter...

They worked wonders for removing the paint when I sorted my arches and I'm currently using them to polish up my OEM Sawblades. You can get different grades and the ones I'm using don't leave grooves at all and quite literally polish up corroded aluminium as soon as you make contact.
