Yes mother :)

Yeah when I did an eBay search there was paper and metal gaskets that came up, a few mentioned exhaust gasket specifically so I'll make sure I get that stuff.

if you dont get gasket with exhaust, try source good gasket sheet or ready make gaskets, look carefull what you buying as most of time they just sell you cardboard and bit if sheet what doesnt last too long

i personalty would not use any liquid gasket

Hm.. Dave says that the only joint that doesn't have a gasket is the downpipe to decat. The rest either have (used) gaskets or are slide joins.

I used instant gasket on the center pipe to backbox and that's been fine, I'm sure it'll be fine for the time being on the downpipe to decat. Can always get hold of one later if it starts to blow.

Looking forward to this, haven't really done much to the car in a long time. Been wanting to replace the exhaust for a few years now!

its your choice but liquid gasket will not do any good to your O2 sensor or cat converter if they get together

Yep, and I'm not planning on filling the exhaust with it, it's only going to be a ring just around the flange
