Short Vs Long filter?
I always buy my HAMP oil filters in bulk. Shopping for some more I notced that you can get long or short filters. What is the difference? Obviously one is longer but other than that?
I have always used the short ones and get them for ~£50 for 6. H-Tune sell individual filters, £7.99 long and £11.49 short.

The long filters are identical in shape to the new std Honda filter design. The "shorty" filter is supposed to be the preferred one used by the tuners. The shorty is supposed to improve your oil pressure slightly.

Ahh! Seaching HAMP and oil pressure I found this blurb:
I think I'll stick with the shortie then

They are not meant to compete with racing products, however, these pieces are quality and are used by some of top Japanese race teams such as Spoon. The HAMP oil filter can be used on any Honda, but was specifically designed for use with the VTEC and iVTEC cars in mind. Features include a unique release valve that dynamically adjusts to the conditions within the filter to keep the oil flow and pressure constant. The HAMP oil filter will last longer and filter better than any of the oil filters currently on the market.
The SHORTIE versions as used by some of top Japanese race teams such as Spoon. They are known for increasing oil pressure by 3-4psi.
I think I'll stick with the shortie then
