Can you recall which sump Marc (Dino) had? As I now have it. It was one you baffled. Just need to check I have everything else to run it now as I didn't think it was such a complex affair.
Despite not being on here as often as I would like in a posting capacity I do still watch over you lot like a shepherd watching his flock ;-)

If I remember correctly Marc's Sump was a standard h22a/a2 item. A7 sumps have PDA stamped into the bottom of them and also have a smooth flat mating surface with out the raised lumps for gasket location. A7 doesn't use a gasket, just sealant

Thanks Rich, I was gonna call you today if I couldn’t find out. Looks like I’ll give this H22A5 spare a miss then. I have a spare on the H22A sitting in the corner of my garage actually!
Just means I need to whip it up in the air and remove it – need an engine stand for it badly.

Once again – you legend! +reppage!

Hopefully you’ll see wind of my car next year!

Cheers,

Rob (the sheep!)

Does anyone know if the 4th gen H22a / H22a2 sump fits 5th gens without issue? Ie the a2 sump fits under the 5th gen load bridge? Since load bridge bolts to the 5th gen sump how would I get around this when using a 4th gen sump?

Don't think it was answered properly here http://www.ludegeneration.co.uk/honda-p ... t6980.html

The 5th gen H22a sump I have on my 5th gen H22a has factory "baffles" in the sump. There are sort of buttress wings inside the sump I have, so that combined with being alloy it is not perfect for installing a proper baffle plate.
