Any one searching and finds this thread this is the reason why 5G front upper balljoints wont fit the 4G. 5G front upper arm holes & balljoints are alot fatter than the 4th gen's.
Merlin wrote:Yup. Could not find 92-96 upper ball joints on Ebay so bought 5G front uppers thinking they would fit. Nope, thay are too fat to go through the hole. I thought the 5G would be the exact same, unless the guy sent me the wrong part but that has never happened before. So I thought that the fronts are exactly the same as the rears ang bought another set of rear ball joints, nope they have too big a spacing so that the circlip does not sit flush with the bottom of the arm. I need the whole car built by tonight so im getting whole upper arms that include the balljoint from a motor factors :(

Buzzonion Vtec speaking about 4G front upper arms wrote:Stock rear upper wishbone or UCA as it's sometimes known. Although generally considered to be strong enough for road use I have had my doubts for some time over it's ability to resist twisting during hard use - you can in fact twist them relatively easily in your hands. Honda must have had the same doubts too as the later 5th gen received a hefty plate addition to beef up their arms.

In the ES Master Kit there are bushes for the strut top mounts, coil isolators, and bump stops. We did the rear of the car first and when I was breaking down the rear shocks to replace bits I measured up the Tein bump stops with the ES ones. In the ES pack there are two sizes of bump stop, a short fat one, and a taller thinner one. The Tein rear bump stop exactly matched the height of short fat ES bump stop so I swapped them over and built up the rear of the car.

Now that im doing the front, when it cam to swap the front bumo stops over I have found that the fornt Tein bump stops are exactly the same as the rears :? But I am left with the taller thinner ES bump stops.

Do the taller thinner ES bump stop go on the front or rear shocks :?

Cheers
I found out on the ES website that the tall ES bump stops are for the rear and the short & fat ones are for the front.
