I thought that too but when you look at it you're only adding in 5 wires, a switch and a relay. The relay seems to be replacing your ignition switch in creating a temporary join between the thick red and the black when triggered. Then the push button starter is just used to trigger the relay, and is wired into the ciggy lighter in order to only be live with the ignition

9 times out of ten I use the key to start the car but that 1 in 10 I do use the button it makes it all worth it.

Do like I did and remove the wire to the starter motor so position 3 on my car does nothing
So you have to push button
