 Maybe the carbed 3G is that slow. I was really impressed/surprised at how quickly 3rdGenSteve's stock 3G gets up to cruising speed.

Don't forget that conversions that are done in the States may not be quite as easy over here, depending on the relative positioning of the brake/clutch master cylinders, and the steering column, as they drive on the wrong side of the road.

Honest of god my perfect 3rd Gen would be a downdraft webber carbed 4ws. The carbed Ludes is excellent. Throttle responce was ban on and picked up speed well.
Plus its alot lighter due to no major electronics, ecu, injectors of large fuel pump.

SOmeone buy my 3rd Gen and H22 it. :ugeek:

rubbish i had a 4ws 16v 3rd gen and there aint that many common garden diesels to keep up with it, fairplay i think overall the 4th gen h22 is a fair bit quicker rather than a massive improvement and the 5th with its transit like weight (and headlights ;) ) is only a small improvement over the 3rd and far less desireable as a future classic. bring on the bad rep points but we all have a personal opinion and having owned a 3rd and a 4th driven a few 5ths but never a type s i can't comment on them. maybe the reason the type s came about was because honda realised they went backwards with the original 5th. anyway smiley faces all round  ;) :P
