Thanks Nafe
So started the clean up and strip down on the head.
Going to visit my local independent honda dude tomorrow to see if he will loan me a valve spring compressor so i can remove the valve springs and take the valves out.
I have bought some genuine honda stem seals - apparently B16/18 series engines use the same stem seals and a guy on ebay had them up for sale as they were left over from a rebuild kit. They were cheap so fingers crossed they are the right parts.
Next up is to look at finding some sprung lmas to replace the hydraulic ones and inspect the upgrade cams which have been offered to me - they came out of a 5th gen S spec.
Valve lapping tool and pastes should be here tomorrow.
Looking forward to doing this

Here is the link to what ive bought - its the old style basic valve removal tool
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/450340-10PC-P ... 2749.l2649
it may take longer to get the job done with this tool but i didnt fancy whacking the springs with a hammer especially as they are deep in the head
just hope this tool will do the job
