This car has multiple issues but if it goes low enough it might be a good project for someone

The worst part is, in my mind, the mugen kit is hideous. If someone wants to buy the mugen kit for silly money then they aren't far off the cost of the whole car if its worth what people say it is worth...

To me, the car needs to go back to standard. Sourcing the correct lips and bumpers and getting them sprayed to match , along with wheels/tyres/headlights/steering wheel is a big cost before you even get to the mechanicals, let alone other cosmetics/putting good all the other issues.

As much as I'd like a Type S, this one still looks like too much trouble at that price. I'm not going to take a gamble on the value of the repaired kit. If the kit was worth 2 or 3k , someone would have bought the whole car already.

I agree Scott. The body kit is nasty, I wouldn't put it on my Type S if you paid me a significant amount of money, it looks awful and totally ruins the car. I can't imagine who in their right mind would pay 2 grand for the kit, the mind boggles . I suspect you are right though, no-one would actually pay 2 grand for the body kit, a couple of hundred quid to someone who wants it just because it's Mugen, maybe.

The other issues include the fact the ATTS light is on, never a good thing. Also, the wheels are horrible. I also don't like aftermarket headlights, I think it cheapens the look, but that's more a personal thing to me.

On the plus side, it is relatively low mileage and appears to be rust free so if someone could pick it up for say £3k, spend a couple of grand on the proper Type S or Motegi kit, sort the ATTS, get some new wheels on it, could be a good car for someone.

The Mugen kit can work well but you have to have the full kit with the fog light covers, debadge it, properly colour code the inner fog lights black and have the heatlight surrounds painted.
Also decent wheels and lowered.

Mugen kit does look nice only with the right corresponding mods as Ratty says.

I know that Type-S with Mugen kit. He passed by my house and saw my car and knocked on my door to chat about it. Sounded like a really cool guy too.

Great project for someone indeed.

Still think it looks  and not in a good way.

To each their own though, everyone has different taste
