Sorry hear this shizzle, sucks completely.
It's quite likely to be written off I'd say (just because of value, as you say) but don't be too worried about anything poking through the wing necessarily. Unfortunately I can't make out what it is you're referring to (looking at pics on the phone) but are you sure it's the subframe? I had the front cross member/side arms poke through the wing on my jdm in a similar crash on the other side (see thread for pics) and it was perfectly ok to straighten. Subframe would be more serious though...

Little update,

Many thanks to all who had parts for me. Everything arrived in good time and as far as I know was described.

Mum has decided to fix and the police have been in touch saying they think they have found the guy who hit her!!!!

At the moment the parts are being fitted to get the thing through it's imminent MOT and so she can keep driving. Once we know if there is a claim to be made then she'll be pushing for a respray and paying a bit extra to have the rear arches rust-repaired/replaced.

Although I'm immensely pleased for the old dear I'm a bit bitter my potential track car is slipping away from me

Again, many thanks lads - nice to get support from like-minded enthusiasts

I think I'll treat her to some new wheels for her birthday.
