Bet you feel stupid now!

Nope, we are running NEC3 Opt A :D

 I think they're catching wind of the rain. Possibly suggesting delayed blockwork...

And I was right :geek:  it's "number of days with rainfall more than 5mm" (but is also "the cumulative rainfall (mm)").
Either way we'd be drokked if they did put in a claim under that  (provided the disrupted activities could be reasonably tied to that of course)

And especially for Gayno...

Does that make you feel better then? :D

Good luck with claims at the moment. The good news is greasy cafes profits are through the roof at these times.

I don't see the problem.

Gt a water butt, fill it with water from the tap using a bucket, run pressure washer from water butt.

Loophole ;)

I actually emailed Thames Water about this a couple of years back when we had the hose pipe ban.

As long as the hose isn't attached to a mains tap, it is exactly as you say, you can fill as many buckets as you want direct from the tap to wash a car.

I actually used more water doing it this way as i had a spare bucket at the end which was wasted.

I personally think if you're on a meter, then you shouldn't be subject to the ban, as you're paying for the amount you use.

It's not about whether you pay enough for what you use (in fact I pay much more on rates than I would if I went over to a meter) it's simply about the overall amount being used by everyone, in comparison to the overall amount of reserves they have left at that time.

The fact you pay for what you use on a meter doesn't make any difference to what happens if the reservoir runs dry!

Quite right I would pay bugger all either way!
I have kleptomania,
But when it gets bad,
I take something for it.

my metered bill is now about 1/3rd of my old rates bill, single bloke, n'all, but I'm sure it will creep back up in the next few years, not using any tho' at the mo' as I'm still in sunny NZ!! Hope the 'lude hasn't either floated or blown away, understand the weather is still pretty bad in blighty
