also means pikeys cant stick stolen engines in there cars and it shouldn't affect your insurance as it will show as an engine not as a swap

always worth putting a postit note on the old V5 stating its not an owner change.

I've had it twice now with a change of address, only for my V5 to come back with another owner clocked up on the number of owners :cry:

Nice idea, but I wouldn't have thought a post it note would make any difference - alterations are computer read and processed, that's why it has to be in Black ink and in boxes

Use invisible ink - they might accidentally get it right.

Ive always notified the DVLA and updated details, if changing engine numbers, and never had any issues with it. No reason not to.
