@wurly: valid points wurly and I always did appreciate how they used the citroens for recording the racing on telly as they were so smooth. but as we both agree those days are past from the point of view of 90% of cars now. The fact is that topgear made a funny about something we can all relate to, like it or not. Taking the bumper off for a bulb is the core of my beef I think

@ted: Thanks, I'll take that onboard buddy.

First time I encountered that, was when my mate came round with a tigra once, to ask me to help him change a headlight bulb. He's no mechanic, but he's not feckless either. He said he thought the bumper needed to come off. I said don't be silly...

Not long after that, I was busy removing the bumper on my drive, hating the car with every ounce of my being!

It is really bloody ridiculous how they do that sort of jobby these days! What plum thinks that is a good idea?

Anyway, enough of this, we want updates on fletch!!! :D What's the latest?

:( :( :( :( :( loads of work done but no bloody camera. Looks like a broken down old hobo right now while in the ''middle ground'' of a resto job. Its as bad as it can be and the downward slop is in sight.

Its all going to go in a massive update in about two weeks hopefully

Great looking car, but I hated going in it (awful ride) - so much so that when it was his turn to drive us somewhere out clubbing, more often than not, I'd offer to drive instead (choosing a sober night over a drinking one!)

:o thats real car hate. Id just get a taxi

@lude-dude, no ted is correct. I have been starved of aggressive discourse, something I thrive on, as my besty has been away for the last three weeks and I have been trying to pull people into lively debate. The switch has been turned back to 'play with others' setting''.

whilst i cant comment on the 307, the 56 plate 207 has really heavy doors, and when the doors shut, there is no 'ringing' and it really feels a quality car.

I literally cannot slag it off, the interior plastics and everything are very high quality and lasting well.

the electric power steering is a little lame, but it doesn't really detract from what you get...

Its not a perfect car, but it certainly doesnt deserve the beef people give it. now a 206 on the other hand is a small tinny car agreed...
