Yar there are loads but if you just want UK and europe with basic functions (i-routes is ok but its not worth the signup fee unless you do 40k a year in my opinion) you will be fine with the one for about £70 from halfrauds.

bought a few here and there and halfrauds always seem to have a decent price when on offer and you get the easy exchange if it goes wrong. The XL is cool but a bit clunky to carry about out of the car. You can use it while walking and riding dont forget and having had the XL it was a bit big for that kinda use.

Lane guidance is useful and if you are of the type to like a night time drive you will find on B roads you can get another 7%-10% out of the car just because you have an idea of where the road is going  almost like a little rally co-pilot

Dont let the missis borrow it. mine has killed loads. I have never killed any. They are robust but women, mine atleast, have a psycotic need to destroy them.

You will find your hippocampus will shrink/stunt with the introduction of a satnav though. Not like you'll feel the brain damage going ;) on but its been shown that satnav use causes accelerated atrophy of that portion of the brain responsable for planning, route finding, remembering/organising landmarks, shortcut finding etc etc.  so be warned. Maps might be a ball ache but they train your brain.
6th gen Prelude please Mr Honda. RWD 2.4 turbo lude.

Fair do's if poor reception and not on unlimited data, otherwise I would have recommended waze - that's all I use now (complete with arnie voice, of course  )

Every time I've used Google maps in the car, it's sent me a completely bull jobby way and got itself lost! (seems to work fine on walking though... )

Btw, dunno what mobiley tarrif you're on but my unlimited data/phone/text tarrif is only something like £18 (I forget exactly) with virgin mobile and no contract, hence that makes all this possible (provided you have reception, granted!)
