The guy who ran a turbo Lude for the longest and used it as a daily, is @sir si.
Look at his profile build for the best idea of what is required.
I think the only actual upgrade in his engine internals was mahle pistons (possibly also added bigger injectors, can't remember) and he ran that for at least 2 years, then got piston slap.
He chucked a low mileage standard h22 in there but that died within a few weeks unfortunately.
@Si import also has a lot of experience with turbo h22s (although you won't find the profiles of his turbos on here, only on PUK)
