You do know I work in insurance too?Donald wrote:Another question for @Shiny probably)

Back when I had my BB4, the security I had on it, which did reduce the insurance a fair bit (was 21 with 1 years NCB with it kept on a public road in not a particularly lovely area!) was:
- Thatcham Cat 1 alarm / immobiliser
- Keyless entry
- and believe it or not, a snap off steering wheel!!
The snap off steering wheel actually made a surprisingly large difference too (well can't easily steal a car without a steering wheel!)
At the end of the day, one of the things that will keep the insurance down the most, depending on your area of course, will be where you keep it parked over night. My trike for example, the insurance pretty much halved in price between keeping it in my front garden and keeping it on the road outside my house, because I live in SE London. If I could park it in a garage, or even build a shed in the front garden for it, then the insurance would drop even more but alas neither of those are viable options.
Also, it sounds obvious, but try ringing different companies as well as doing quotes online, as you'll be surprised just how much difference you can get. My Aerodeck had prices ranging from £600 for the year up to £2900 for the year with different companies but the same details.
