Having your name on the V5 is not proof of ownership (that's why you should always get a receipt when you buy/sell a car, even privately), so don't worry too much about that.

If it's no longer registered in your name, just go out and get done by loads of speed camera's - the notices won't be landing on your doormat! :D

Well just hope the alarm an imobilizer puts them off but where we live is in a secluded bit an all neighbours are foreign so think i will drive it to work every day now as there best chance is day time when me an mrs are at work. Stupid thing is mine is not exactly best looking car to nick :lol:

it'll be the parts they want if they want it at all. merc is right. there is a massive trade in these sporty late 90s cars in easterneurope now that a bit of cash is flowing.

Get yourself a GPS tracker unit installed mate. EBAY has them. it calls you and tells you when the car moves and gives you lat/long and a google ref to find it. you cal also listen in to the car interior so you can record it for evidence.

Also a motorike lock on the steering wheel and round the pedals is a good start.

Yeah was looking at those trackers last nite and thought about wheel clamps maybe :D
