A few friends of mine did it last year and although they are not fitness freaks they do regularly compete on motorbike enduros which when I did one with them nearly killed me. I thought how hard can a 3 hour bike ride be when I go up the mountain playing on one all day but it was the hardest thing fitness wise I have ever done.
if it aint broke don't fix it https://www.facebook.com/pages/tram-roa ... 8502699270

My nephew Joe is doing the tough mudder tomorrow, possibly the same one.
Say hi if you see at tall ginger kid with a gay hairstyle.
If it helps, chap I work with did the tough mudder last year. He didn't even get up a sweat. Apparently the most painful thing was the hailstones they had due to the weather. Mind you, he did a 50k marathon the year before.
I'd not even be able to start, given the choice of staying at home, pint of cider in hand and not going in an ice pool vs paying to go in an ice pool and then run a few miles, the first option is the most appealing.

Ahh but shiny you do get a pint of cider at the end and I will certainly be having a few more when I get home
